Welcome to the first edition of 2013 of Corporate Insights, the Hogan Lovells Hong Kong Corporate Newsletter.
This month we take a look back on the 2012 IPO market in Hong Kong, reviewing the trend towards heavier underpinning by cornerstone investors. We also examine the Placing Guidelines under the Listing Rules in light of two listings last year which touched on allocations to "connected clients" and redistribution to clients of the lead broker. We look at hard underwriting agreements, and conclude with an article bringing home a practical point relating to the Stock Exchange's guidance letter on latest practicable date and liquidity disclosure in a listing document.
