William is a senior associate in the Debt Capital Markets group in London. William has experience advising on a range of capital markets and derivatives transactions, relating to both debt and equities issuances. At Hogan Lovells, William has led on the establishment and annual update of various debt issuance programmes, including for Goldman Sachs and other major international banks. William has experience advising on derivatives and structured products (including OTC derivatives, fixed income and equity-based derivatives, prime brokerage, and repo and stock lending transactions), as well as regulatory matters (including MiFID II, EMIR, UK EMIR, and UMR). Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, William spent eight years at Bank of America.

a French investment bank in relation recent annual updates of its UK FCA-approved Structured Debt Issuance Programme including in 2022, 2023 and 2024
a French investment bank on the 2023 establishment of its new Luxembourg CSSF-approved structured warrants programme
Goldman Sachs as programme counsel on its secured debt issuance programme, handling all vanilla and secured issuances off the programme, including engagement with investors, and programme supplements
a major European bank on the drafting of drawdown prospectuses and submissions to the CSSF for structured debt issuances
a major South African banking group in relation to its strategy to begin manufacturing and offering structured products in the UK, the Channel Islands and various African jurisdictions
a major global insurance company with respect to negotiation of ISDA documentation, including umbrella agreements to be used by its asset management arm across its group companies
a major global financial institutions group on the application of EMIR to its various group entities
a major US investment bank on a hedge fund linked repackaging
on the special administration of an investment bank focused on prime brokerage, repo and derivatives businesses
