Grégoire Paquet is an Associate in our Global Regulatory Practice. A Belgian-qualified lawyer, he assists clients on a wide range of European and Belgian regulatory matters.   

While his practice focuses on Life Sciences, he regularly assists companies active in the Environment, Food, Consumer Goods, Technology, and Automotive sectors. He supports companies in the entire lifecycle of their products, from early development and design stages to marketing and post-marketing issues. He has notable experience in handling crises and coordinating product recalls with communications to authorities/customers and implementation of global corrective actions.

He has a strong background in EU law and is able to assist with EU public policy processes, including lobbying, as well as (pre-)litigation before the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU).

Grégoire is leading our Pro Bono activities for the Brussels office and closely monitors regulatory Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) developments. In parallel to his work at Hogan Lovells, Grégoire is a Teaching Assistant at the Université Libre de Bruxelles where he lectures on Comparative Law.

Assisting a global cell culture media provider with vigilance and reporting requirements in the EU in relation to product complaints, and related coordination of product recall 

Advising an innovative biopharmaceutical company on human tissue and pharmaceutical regulatory licensing requirements for their advanced therapy medicinal product (ATMP)

Assisting multiple medical devices manufacturers regarding strategic interactions with their notified bodies, including on contentious matters requiring formal appeals

Advising life sciences companies on compliance requirements under Belgian law, including advertising, interactions with healthcare professionals (HCPs), anti-benefit and sunshine rules

Advising several online retail platforms on product requirements (textiles, food, cosmetics, chemicals, alcohol, new tobacco products etc), marketing practices, and regulatory licensing requirements

Assist a global food company in dealing with the Belgian Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain (FASFC) on issues relating to labelling, nutritional claims, and food content

Advising a leading pharmaceutical company on Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements under Belgian law, and Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) notification requirements

Assisting car and motorcycle manufacturers on regulatory requirements related to batteries, emissions, connected devices and advertising rules

Advising leading tech companies on electronic communications, digital accessibility, and cybersecurity regulatory requirements

Advising a leading food industry association on new Packaging and Packaging Waste rules and related monitoring of EU legislative process and lobbying
