Soo is a financial institutions lawyer with a particular focus in the Financial Services practice. Advising clients across the retail banking, lending and payments industry on regulatory, contentious and transactional issues.
Soo is able to assist on sector-specific regulations including the Consumer Credit Act, the Payment Services Regulations, BCOBS, CONC and MCOB, as well as the impact of unfair terms, consumer rights, and AML on the financial services sector.
Having gained in-house experience during secondments with a major high street bank and an automotive finance provider, Soo provides practical and commercial advice and can draw upon her experience with retail asset securitisations and data privacy law.

Coordinating a multi-jurisdictional review for a major UK bank in relation to regulatory compliance of a lending product.
Carrying out extensive legal and regulatory due diligence for the acquisition of a P2P lending platform.
