Ngoc Nguyen has helped foreign and Vietnamese clients structure and execute investments in Vietnam since 2007 with focus on project development and financing and corporate M&A transactions.  Ngoc has been consistently highlighted by international legal registries as a well-regarded lawyer in Vietnam.

Combining her in-depth knowledge of Vietnamese laws and local market with international legal training and practice, Ngoc is well regarded by clients for delivering solutions that work to solve problems arising in complex cross-border transactions by bridging divergent interests and backgrounds of different stakeholders.

Ngoc has been the key lawyer representing international sponsors in the only two BOT power projects in Vietnam that are currently under negotiation with the government and a number of path-finding LNG-to-power projects at different stages of development. She has worked on major transactions in renewable energy, airport infrastructure, road transportation and water supply. Beside acting for businesses, Ngoc has spent significant time advising Vietnamese regulators on developing policies and laws on energy and infrastructure projects and competitive bidding for selection of investors in projects.

Ngoc also advises foreign investors in financial and strategic investments in Vietnamese companies operating in different industries including IT, fintech, education, healthcare, food and beverage, retail and logistics and obtaining merger control clearance from Vietnamese competition authority for those transactions.

Ngoc Nguyen is well regarded in the market for her work on behalf of lenders and sponsors. A source explains that "she is one of the best lawyers I've worked with in Vietnam, in relation to matters involving cross-border investment in the infrastructure sector. She understands all aspects of the deal context."
