Natalia Gulyaeva appointed as Head of a new task force on the role of psychology in international arbitration

Moscow, 21 June 2021 – Natalia Gulyaeva, Moscow Office Managing Partner, has been appointed Head of a new task force on psychology in international arbitration, created by the Russian National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC Russia). The interdisciplinary task force was founded by members of the ICC Russia Arbitration Commission.

Some of the key objectives of the task force are to:

  • conduct interdisciplinary research on various psychological issues impacting international arbitration (e.g. the decision-making process of arbitrators or the probative value of evidence);
  • develop a report based on the results of the interdisciplinary research on various psychological issues impacting international arbitration;  
  • organize events focused on the role of psychology in international arbitration.

On 16 June the Group held a workshop "The Role of Testimony in International Arbitration: What Do We Trust?"
