Hogan Lovells to create new premises on Holborn Viaduct

Press releases | 21 February 2022

London, 21 February 2022 - Hogan Lovells will move to new bespoke London premises comprising 21 Holborn Viaduct and adjoining buildings on Farringdon Road from 2026. Following consideration of options across the City of London, the firm has on 16 February signed an agreement for lease to create a new 266,000 square foot sustainable working environment opposite current London location, Atlantic House. Work on the new premises will commence in summer 2022, ahead of occupancy in Q4 2026.

Penny Angell, UK Managing Partner, said: “Our London office is of considerable strategic importance to the firm and our clients. Having occupied the Atlantic House building since 2001, we are excited at the opportunity to redefine how our space can best support our business and create something bespoke, while staying true to our values, heritage and 40+ year history in Holborn Viaduct. Having the space and technology that reflects our evolving working style and is flexible enough to adapt as the future needs of our people and our clients change is critical.

“Our significant research and pilots over the last couple of years, as well as feedback from the recent refurbishment of Atlantic House, have informed our decision making and designs for the new office. In line with our global sustainability plan and commitment to being a responsible business, it will have very high sustainability credentials targeting BREEAM Outstanding and WELL certifications, with green spaces, energy and efficiency embedded within the design. Further information will be shared with our people and the market in due course.”

David Crew, Head of Corporate Real Estate at Hogan Lovells, said: “Hogan Lovells has a long history with the Holborn Viaduct area and we are excited to have signed an agreement for lease on this scheme. The development will meet our changing accommodation requirements whilst offering a vibrant, well-utilised facility that can be enjoyed by our people and clients alike. We are extremely supportive of the building’s high commitments to sustainability, greening and culture as it will support our responsible business commitments to the environment that include RE100, Race to Zero and our SBTi pledge to be net zero by 2030.”
