Hogan Lovells DNFP advises lead investor in a US$33 million Series C funding for Indonesia's leading healthcare superapp Alodokter

Dewi Negara Fachri & Partners in association with Hogan Lovells (Hogan Lovells DNFP), acted for the lead investor in a US$33 million Series C funding for PT Sumo Teknologi Solusi, a start-up company which operates the healthcare app Alodokter. The funding is to further develop its hospital network integration and its tech-based health insurance service

The Series C funding, led by client PT Asuransi Jiwa Sequis Life, a leading life insurance company based in Indonesia. Other investors in the round included Philips, Heritas Capital, Hera Capital and Dayli Partners. Existing investors Softbank Ventures Asia and Golden Gate Ventures also participated. Alodokter is the leading healthcare platform in Indonesia which provides an end-to-end digital solution to patients including telemedicine, doctor booking, medical content and health insurance services. There are over 20 million active monthly users on its platform, making it one of the most trusted health-tech services in the world. On the Alodokter platform, users can chat with doctors, book appointments, discover personalized content and manage their health insurance. Alodokter is currently working with a trusted network of 20,000 doctors and 1,000 hospitals and clinics across Indonesia.

The Hogan Lovells DNFP team conduct legal due diligence on PT Sumo Teknologi Solusi, highlighting key legal issues that were relevant to the funding.
