Washington, D.C., 4 August 2023 – Global law firm Hogan Lovells is pleased to share that it has once again been named to Bloomberg Law’s third Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Framework, which lists law firms that meet or exceed a rising standard for diversity, equity, and inclusion in its firm. Hogan Lovells is one of 55 U.S.-based law firms recognized for its level of disclosure of diversity-related metrics and outstanding performance across the framework’s six core pillars: demographics, leadership and talent pipeline, recruitment and retention, business innovation and strategy, marketing, and diversity & inclusion in the community. More information about the Bloomberg Law 2023 DEI Framework, the methodology, and a full list of members, can be found here.

Bloomberg Law’s DEI Framework was developed in 2021 in collaboration with Bloomberg’s Gender-Equality Index team, as well as diversity leads at corporations and U.S.-based law firms. Performance is assessed across more than 85 metrics, each associated with one of the framework’s six core pillars.

“I’m pleased to report that the number of participants in the Bloomberg Law DEI framework again saw double digit growth year-on-year,” said Joe Breda, President, Bloomberg Law. “This is a clear signal that momentum for championing diversity, equity and inclusion in law firms has continued to grow. The Bloomberg Law team finds it immensely rewarding to provide a framework against which firms can benchmark their efforts.”

“We applaud Bloomberg Law for its longstanding commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and are proud to have been recognized for Hogan Lovells’ comprehensive and multi-layered framework established by our own DEI department,” said Rosevelie Márquez Morales, Diversity & Inclusion Director – Americas. “To continue making progress towards the firm’s key DEI objectives, a commitment to Bloomberg Law’s six outlined pillars is crucial, helping us to build on our holistic strategy to create sustainable and impactful DEI solutions at all levels of our firm.”

Bloomberg Law’s acknowledgment is the latest recognition of the firm’s progress in delivering on its Diversity, Equity & Inclusion commitments. Most recently, the firm received the Women in Law Empowerment Forum’s (WILEF) U.S. Gold Standard Certification, marking the eleventh year it has been recognized for its dedication to advancing the career of women lawyers. WILEF is a leading organization for women in law, dedicated to women from the largest law firms and corporate law departments. More about Hogan Lovells’ WILEF certification can be found here.
