Hogan Lovells advises Encavis AG on the acquisition of the 21,5 MW wind farm Paltusmäki

Press releases | 15 June 2021

Led by partners Carla Luh and Alexander Stefan Rieger, international law firm Hogan Lovells advised the wind and solar park operator Encavis AG on the acquisition of the Paltusmäki wind farm.

Encavis AG is one of the leading independent Pan-European producers of Renewable Energies. The company, listed on Deutsche Börse AG's MDAX, operates solar parks and (onshore) wind farms in various European countries. Paltusmäki wind farm is located close to the Baltic Sea coast in the northern Finnish region of Nordösterbotten. It comprises five Enercon wind turbines of a state-of-the-art permanent magnet technology, making a gearbox redundant and reducing the susceptibility to faults to a minimum. By the acquisition, Encavis AG is expanding its own generation capacities in the wind segment. In addition, with Finland the company is investing again in an interesting growth market of its already highly diversified portfolio.

Hogan Lovells advised Encavis AG on all aspects of corporate law, financing and project contracts, including due diligence and the final documentation.
