Hogan Lovells advises Banca Iccrea on new €500 million European Covered Bond

Milan, 19 March 2024 – Global Law firm Hogan Lovells has advised Banca Iccrea, parent company of the Italian banking group “Gruppo BCC Iccrea”, on a new issuance of €500 million European Covered Bond with maturity date in March 2032, under its €10 billion Covered Bond Programme.

It marks the issuance of the third series of European Covered Bonds (Premium) made by the Group in compliance with the new Italian and European regime on covered bonds following the update of the Programme. The Covered Bonds issued are labelled "Premium" in accordance with the new regime.

The placement of the Covered Bonds was managed by Barclays (Co-Arranger of the Programme together with Iccrea Banca), Citi, Intesa Sanpaolo (IMI CIB Division), Nord/LB and Raiffesein Bank International as Joint Bookrunners.

The team that advised Banca Iccrea on the transaction was led by partner Annalisa Dentoni-Litta, together with senior associate Alessandro Azzolini and associate Cecilia Cancellieri. Serena Pietrosanti, head of Tax Italy, and Maria Cristina Conte, counsel, advised on the tax aspects.
