Tom McFarlane has 18 years' experience, helping multinationals deal with complex supply chain matters and transfer pricing matters. Over the course of his career, Tom has led Transfer pricing and Supply Chain practices in the Big 4 and major consultancy firms in Europe.

In February 2018, Tom has assumed the role of EMEA Head of Transfer Pricing at Hogan Lovells.

Tom's experience in transfer pricing and supply chain matters is varied and diverse – crossing many jurisdictions (throughout Europe, Asia and the US) and industries (such as consumer, retail, pharmaceuticals, and diversified industrials). Tom has led some of the largest supply chain reorganisations in Europe and has advised clients who are expanding into new markets, diversifying through new channels and integrating their operating models post M&A. Tom focuses on ensuring robust implementation (the fiscal model follows the commercial model) when clients are undertaking business change. With regard to transfer pricing, most recently, Tom has lead numerous projects such as undertaking strategic CBCR reviews, negotiating advanced pricing agreements (APAs) and dispute resolution.
