Louise is a partner in our corporate and finance practice. She has extensive experience in structured, real estate, acquisition and leveraged finance, as well as special situation and restructuring matters. She regularly acts for international and Chinese financial institutions, credit funds, multinational and Chinese corporations and private equity sponsors; advising them on their complex issues and often involving cross-border elements.
Louise is known to be responsive, detail-oriented and is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, which allows her to ably advise clients in onshore and offshore financing transactions. Her in-depth knowledge and experience in the financial sector allows her to thoroughly understand the issues that her clients face and to provide effective commercial solutions to her clients to help them overcome legal challenges in the complex financial and economic landscape and navigate through increased regulatory considerations in regulated sectors.
Louise joined the firm in 2006 as a trainee, qualified in 2008, and was promoted to counsel in 2017, and partner in 2019.
Representative experience
Advising a major US credit fund and a major US investment bank on a widely reported secured and structured USD multi-million term loan facility to a subsidiary of a large Indian natural resources conglomerate, supported by a security package covering 8 jurisdictions and related security structuring and enforcement advice
Advising the mandated lead arrangers and bookrunners on a €630m term loan facility for China National Tire & Rubber's acquisition of Italian tire maker Pirelli.
