Sammy Li

Sammy re-joined Hogan Lovells' Hong Kong office as a partner in July 2016. He was an associate with the firm between 1996 and 2006. Over the years he has developed his practice in capital markets and corporate transactional work, with experience as a lawyer in private practice and as an investment bank in-house counsel.

In recent times, Sammy has led on over 40 Hong Kong equity capital markets transactions including IPOs, global offerings, rights issues and other capital markets fund raising transactions. He also has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and insolvency, and private equity and venture capital investments.

Sammy is recognised as a leading lawyer in capital markets in all major legal directories including Chambers, Legal 500 and IFLR 1000.

Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Sammy was the Hong Kong Chair position at Paul Hastings, and an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley.
