Joshua Lee is an associate in the Dispute Resolution group of our Hong Kong office. 

Joshua acts for international and local clients in commercial disputes, including contractual litigation, contentious bankruptcy and insolvency, as well as banking and finance litigation.

Joshua's industry experience spans various sectors, including construction and engineering, financial services, and technology.

Joshua is also a committee member of the Community Investment Committee at Hogan Lovells and has been actively engaged in pro bono work. Joshua is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Representative experience

Acting for the trustee in the default of US$450 million 6% guaranteed bonds issued by an offshore subsidiary of Tsinghua Unigroup, backed by a keepwell deed and equity interest purchase undertaking.

Acting for an investment fund in relation to enforcing a defaulted loan and proceeding with receivership.

Acting for a main contractor in an arbitration commenced by the Incorporated Owners in relation to outstanding payment, defects and delay.

Acting for a contractor in relation to disputes with a sub-contractor for works in a major public infrastructure project.

Acting for a bank in relation to disputes regarding validity of an enduring power of attorney.
