Alec skillfully helps clients complete complex mergers and acquisitions, representing domestic and international companies and large capital private equity sponsors with their investments in a range of industries, particularly focusing on the sports, media, and entertainment sectors.

Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Alec practiced in the New York office of an international law firm. Alec graduated from Fordham Law School in 2020, where he served as the Chairman of the Dispute Resolution Society, was a two term Executive Board member of the Sports Law Forum and interned at the Premier Lacrosse League. During his time at Fordham Law, Alec also received the Fordham Law Alumni Association Medal in Constitutional Law, the New York City Bar Association Diversity Fellowship and the John D. Feerick Award.

Representative experience

Represented OneTeam Partners in their recapitalization involving the MLBPA, NFLPA and Redbird Capital Partners.*

Advised Cerberus Capital Management on its acquisition and business combination of Brooklyn Bedding and Helix Sleep.*

Represented  Ingersoll Rand in the US$1.68 billion spin-off of its Specialty Vehicle Technologies Segment (“Club Car”) to Platinum Equity.*

Advised the purchaser in its US$1.3 billion acquisition of a national defense contractor’s cybersecurity, intelligence and services business.*

Represented Kaufman Astoria Studios, an iconic New York City film / TV campus and the original home of Paramount Pictures, in its sale to Hackman Capital Partners and Square Mile Capital Management.*
