Shaohui focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions and private equity investments in a variety of business sectors, including energy, infrastructure, manufacturing and technology. He also has experience in project development and finance.

Shaohui has extensive experience in complex cross border transactions in the United States, Europe, Latin America, Southeast and Central Asia, China and Africa. His clients include public companies, private businesses, state entities and not-for-profit organizations.

Prior to joining the firm, Shaohui worked in a major US law firm providing advice to Chinese state-owned enterprises in relation to their energy and infrastructure outbound investments. In addition to coal, oil and gas, he has helped clients in the renewable sector. Clients of infrastructure and natural resources benefit tremendously from his professional and personal experience particularly in Africa. 

All of these experiences have contributed significantly to both legal and business aspects of transactions, especially for greenfield projects in which numerous factors need to be considered for new investments. Shaohui is able to manage these transactions by working closely with clients, local counsel, project advisors, governmental agencies and business teams.
