Having trained at the firm, Jessica Hickson qualified in 2012 and is a member of both the planning and real estate teams. She advises a wide range of clients on landlord and tenant matters, development projects and transactional and advisory planning work. Jessica advises on all aspects of commercial real estate, including property management for large shopping centres and office estates, sales and purchase, lease negotiations, certificates of title and general corporate and insolvency support.
Jessica also has considerable experience in conducting due diligence, both in the context of acquisitions as well as proposed redevelopments. Whilst acting for a number of institutional landlords and developers, Jessica has gained extensive experience in all aspects of landlord and tenant work. As a result she has a valuable understanding of the commercial drivers behind acquiring and managing property for investment purposes.
Jessica also acts for corporate occupiers and understands the commercial pressures in securing appropriate space in an increasingly competitive market. Her experience in acting on both sides of the table in landlord and tenant matters gives her key insight into the commercial priorities for both parties. Able to bridge the gap between planning and real estate, Jessica has advised on a variety of development projects. As Jessica's practice comprises both real estate and planning, Jessica is able to advise on all aspects of this process, from the initial site assembly and due diligence, through to advice during the planning application process and the negotiation of any section 106 agreement.
