As a senior associate of the International Banking – Finance team at Hogan Lovells, Jenny Yim has wide-ranging experience in acting for financial institutions and sponsors/borrowers on banking and financing transactions, including bilateral and syndicated loans (secured and unsecured), distressed loans, asset and projects financing, leveraged and acquisition financing, real estate financing, refinancing and restructuring covering Hong Kong, mainland China and Southeast Asia.
Jenny has advised banks and other financial institutions on a broad range of legal and quasi-legal regulatory and compliance issues. She also has experience in cross-border transactions such as foreign direct investments, establishment of Sino-foreign joint ventures, reorganizations and lending and taking security in mainland China.
Jenny started off more than 10 years ago as one of the few in the market capable of advising on transactions with onshore/offshore structure. Her knowledge and experience in PRC financing-related legal matters make her a valuable bridge between foreign and Chinese counter-parties in closing deals and achieving their business goals. She understands them well and can explain complex legal concepts in clear and simple ways so clients love to call upon her for a chat or advice.
