Shana helps advise clients on the education regulatory triad: state licensure, accreditation, and federal grant programs.

Shana works with universities, colleges, education associations, and the companies doing business with them on contested administrative matters, internal and external investigations, and transactions.

Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Shana served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Stefan R. Underhill of the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut.  She graduated from Yale Law School, where she was editor-in-chief of the Yale Law & Policy Review, was a student director of the Housing Clinic, and received the Florence M. Kelly ’37 Prize.

Before law school, she gained valuable education experience working at a state education agency, founding a public charter school, and teaching.
