Alistair Handy is an associate in our Finance Group at Hogan Lovells and focuses on leveraged and acquisition finance. He has extensive experience in acting for corporate borrowers, sponsors, debt funds and lenders on a wide range of financings, including acquisition finance, unitranche, super senior revolving credit facilities and refinancing.

Representative experience

Advising HSBC and Barings in relation to the provision of facilities backing the acquisition of technology business IMD by Inflexion.

Advising HNA Group on its circa €1.5bn debt and equity financing relating to its acquisition of Swissport.

Acting for Swissport Financing S.à r.l. in connection with the refinancing of its €460M TLB, CHF110M RCF and Exchange Offer for existing SUN and SSNs.

Acting for Wyevale Garden Centres (owned by Terra Firma) in relation to credit facilities provided by Hayfin, Barclays Bank PLC and LLoyds Bank plc.

Advising Ares on the unitranche financing of the acquisition of Oasis Records by Montagu Private Equity.

Acting for HSBC, Barclays, AIB, Bank of Ireland, Bank of Canada, Lloyds Bank and Standard Chartered on the refinancing of Virgin Active's credit facilities.

Acting for Avenue Capital, Northleaf Capital and HSBC on the provision of unitranche and revolving facilities for Vitruvian's acquisition of AXIO and OAG aviation group.
