Become a dynamic mentor
Professional expertise
I joined the Washington, D.C., office as an associate after first working here as a summer associate. I’m now a partner in the firm’s International Trade and Investment practice group, assisting clients with a range of regulatory and policy matters involving international trade and national security. This includes export controls, economic sanctions, defense trade, and anti-bribery matters. I’m also a member of the firm’s India working group, helping to coordinate our India-related activities.
I chose Hogan Lovells because of the strength of its International Trade practice, the prestige of its Washington, D.C., presence, its international profile, and its breadth of practices areas.
Deep relationships
I very much value the team approach of my practice group. As an associate, my partner mentors in the group took responsibility for my success, and now as a partner, I feel responsible for the success of the associates in my group. Given the nature of my work, I work across many international offices, including London, Paris, Germany, Dubai, Beijing, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. Whenever I travel to another office, I feel like I never left home. The lawyers and staff make you feel welcome and are very helpful.
Consistently high standards
The firm is very supportive of professional development activities involving bar association and affinity group leadership. As a young associate, I served as the president of the South Asian Bar Association of Washington, D.C., and found that the partners with whom I worked encouraged my involvement in these types of activities. Now I serve as co-chair of the Washington, D.C., office’s Recruitment Committee and enjoy engaging with students who seek the same high-quality opportunities and professional growth I’ve experienced here.
