Our pro bono work
We assisted a U.S. citizen with his Ninth Circuit appeal against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) after ICE attempted to deport him despite indisputable proof that he was an American citizen.
We drafted an amicus curiae brief on behalf of Dr. Amos Sawyer, former President of Liberia. The brief provided context about Liberia’s civil wars in connection with a 20-year old loan dispute between Liberia and Taiwan that occurred immediately before the civil war started.
We assisted FairVote, an organization that works on electoral reforms, with research about how to advance female political candidates.
We won asylum for a teenage girl from Mexico who feared returning to her country due to persecution by gangs in her local state of Guerrero, which has become increasingly dangerous in recent years due to gang activity associated with heroin production and trafficking.
Our community outreach
For nearly a decade, we’ve provided financial and volunteer support to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Palo Alto. To date, we’ve raised over US$100,000 for the organization.
We volunteer on a monthly basis at Second Harvest Food Bank, where we sort fresh produce, package bulk foods, assemble grocery boxes for seniors, and sort donations from food drives.
We volunteer at Dress for Success – San Jose throughout the year, where we participate in sorting clothing and personal shopping with clients at the local boutique location. We also provide career mentoring and speakers for their Professional Women’s Group programming.
We’ve provided one-on-one tutoring for students at Taft Elementary School since 2015. During this time, we’ve served a number of students and also been recognized by the program for great community service.
