Politics and Bagels: A discussion with Wendell Primus

Our latest Politics and Bagels webinar featured a conversation with Wendell Primus, Senior Policy Advisor for Speaker of the United States House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi (D-CA, District 12) and Hogan Lovells Senior Director Anna Weinstein.

The 117th Congress provides a new shift as Democrats control both chambers of Congress and the White House for the first time in over a decade. With a very ambitious policy agenda, but the narrowest of margins in Congress, and deep divisions between the parties in Washington and within the country, Democratic leaders face unique legislative challenges. Following passage of the American Rescue Plan, which includes a large number of important health care provisions, Primus and Weinstein will discuss the speaker's health policy agenda for the remainder of 2021 including both drug pricing and other policies that will increase access and affordability.
