Brexit - managing the uncertainty

11 October 2016

We don't know when Brexit will happen or what form it will eventually take. But we do know that there are some things that employers can and should be doing now to manage their employee related issues at what is inevitably an uncertain time.

The Hogan Lovells employment team and Matthew Davies, Head of Business Immigration at Wright Hassall LLP, are hosting a breakfast seminar on 11 October 2016 to explore practical steps to consider taking in response to Brexit, including in relation to:

 -  Immigration concerns: changes ahead for the Points Based System – risks and opportunities for employers managing a mobile workforce

 -  European nationals and the future of free movement and rights to work

 -  Recruitment, harassment and the risk of discrimination in light of Brexit

 -  Anticipating developments on holiday pay

 -  Reviewing contracts, policies and other documentation – what to look out for

 -  Protecting yourself in outsourcing agreements given uncertainty over the future of TUPE

The seminar is aimed at in-house lawyers, HR managers and anyone else in your organisation responsible for managing employee related risk.
