Eduardo Díaz is an Associate in our insurance and reinsurance practice in Madrid. Eduardo advises numerous insurance companies and insurance intermediaries, both national and international, on regulatory and contractual issues, as well as corporate law matters.
More specifically, Eduardo has advised on regulatory matters, including the drafting of all types of contracts, advice on insurance distribution structures, administrative procedures before the DGSFP, Insurtech and pension plans and funds. In commercial matters, he has advised on corporate transactions of insurance companies and insurance intermediaries.
Representative experience
Preparation of various regulatory proceedings before the DGSFP (e.g. acquisition of significant shareholdings, portfolio transfer or tied agency authorisation).
Advising on the implementation of distribution structures in telco-insurance alliances.
Participation in due diligence processes for insurance companies.
Review and drafting of corporate governance policies. Recurrent advice on corporate governance matters, including product governance (with special focus on co-production).
Review and drafting of insurance contracts and insurance agency contracts / marketing of pension plans.
Sectorial reports for UNESPA.
Recurrent advice to insurance companies and insurance intermediaries on consumer protection regulations, IDD and Solvency II.
Advising Idealista on the acquisition of the insurance distribution business for the real estate sector of Instituto de Desarrollo Asegurador.
