Dania Esser advises on all aspects of intellectual property rights with a special focus on patent law and patent litigation. She primarily concentrates on technical IP rights (patents and utility models), in particular in the fields of telecommunication and mechanics as well as chemicals.
The focus of her work is on national and multi-jurisdictional patent infringement litigation and parallel validity proceedings. Additionally, her knowledge and experience cover IP licensing and questions relating to standard-essential patents.
Before joining Hogan Lovells as an associate in February 2016, Dania studied law at the university of Freiburg with a particular focus on intellectual property rights. During her legal clerkship at the Düsseldorf Court of Appeals, she worked for Hogan Lovells in Düsseldorf and the German representation at the OECD in Paris.
