Cora Brickenkamp advises national and international clients in pre-litigation scenarios as well as disputes before state courts.
Her current focus is on contract and corporate law disputes as well as insolvency litigation matters. She also advises companies on liability following cybersecurity incidents.
Cora studied law at the Universities of Passau and Buenos Aires. Before qualifying as a lawyer in 2014, Cora completed her legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Düsseldorf. Her doctoral thesis on jurisdictional conflicts in criminal proceedings against transnationally operating commercial enterprises was honoured with the Faculty Prize by the Faculty of Law of the University of Cologne.
Representative experience
Defending a leading technology company against claims for damages in connection with a cyber attack and the loss of customer data based on the GDPR and other grounds.
Advising the insolvency administrator of a globally acting memory chip manufacturer in claw-back proceedings against a former competitor.
Advising a leading automotive-OEM in a multitude of court cases with a group of suppliers in German, Dutch and US courts including interim injunctions and allegations of abuse of dominance.
