Kathleen Blanchard works closely with public and private clients on a range of U.S. and cross-border transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs, and strategic investments.

Kathleen represents both buyers and sellers in transactions across industries including technology, food, financial services, aerospace and defense, healthcare and pharmaceuticals.  Kathleen collaborates with clients to get to know their businesses and understand their strategic goals, and she has experience coordinating and overseeing major projects to achieve those goals.   

Prior to law school, Kathleen worked as a federal lobbyist, advising Fortune 500 companies and trade associations on legislative and regulatory matters.  Kathleen graduated from the Duke University School of Law, where she was a staff editor of Law and Contemporary Problems.  While pursuing her law degree, Kathleen worked as a law clerk for the Securities and Exchange Commission in the Division of Corporation Finance, as well as the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Litigation Center and Office of General Counsel.  She earned her B.A. in Government and English from Georgetown University, where she served as Executive Editor of The Hoya.

CI Financial on several acquisitions of registered investment advisors, including: Segall Bryant & Hamill (AUM US$23.1bn), Portola Partners Group (AUM US$5.2bn), and Dowling & Yahnke (AUM US$5.1bn).

Tyson Foods in connection with numerous venture capital and strategic investment transactions.

Shire Plc on the ex-U.S. aspects of its US$2.4bn oncology business sale to Servier S.A.S.
