He is a go-to expert for oil and gas matters and operates both in the UK and internationally on projects, transactions and regulatory matters in the sector.  

Ben leads the firm's work advising the BP and SOCAR led consortium on all aspects of the US$45bn Shah Deniz 2 gas project and new 3,500km Southern Gas Corridor, one of the largest and most complex oil & gas projects of recent years.  He regularly advises energy companies, investors and governments on upstream projects, gas sales and transportation, LNG projects, oil & gas M&A, financing arrangements and energy trading.

Advising consortium led by BP and SOCAR on US$45bn Shah Deniz 2 gas project in Azerbaijan and 3,500km Southern Gas Corridor (South Caucasus Pipeline, TANAP and TAP).

Advising Equinor on disposal of interests in Teesside Oil Terminal in the UK.

Advising oil major and NOC on separate upstream asset acquisitions and new country entries into Namibia. 

Advising oil major on development of landmark upstream oil project in Guyana.

Advising on multiple gas and LNG price review negotiations and disputes.

Advising Oil & Gas UK and downstream gas industry on EU Gas Network Code amendments to industry standard agreements for gas entering GB gas network.

Advising on decommissioning arrangements for Jubilee Oil Field in Ghana.

Advising Marathon Oil on US$450m sale of upstream concession interests to Total and country exit from Libya.
