Our Warsaw office provides commercially minded advice to clients operating in Poland and in the wider markets of Central and Eastern Europe. The office consists of 70 multilingual lawyers, including six partners, who work closely with Hogan Lovells offices around the world; wherever clients choose to do business.
We advise on the legal structures best suited to conducting business in Poland, and will assist in setting up representative offices, branches, or subsidiaries in local markets, while providing regular, on-going advice on all corporate issues, including M&A. Interdisciplinary teams focus on specific industry sectors and participate regularly in industry conferences and exhibitions.

Financial Institutions
We advise insurance companies, pension funds, investments funds and banks on regulatory compliance, transaction documentation, data protection and product introduction, as well as representing Financial Institutions before the Polish Financial Supervisory Authority.
Banking and Finance
We advise banks, financial institutions, developers, institutional clients, and real estate funds on lending and debt transactions.
Corporate
We provide tailor-made solutions for mergers and acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, share incentives, restructuring processes, and management buy-outs. We also support investors in the acquisition of equity, preparing due diligence reports and transaction documentation.
Real Estate
We support all property and project-finance transactions, such as acquisitions, long-term leases, construction, as well as representing clients in court and in arbitration.
Tax
The areas covered include international tax law, investment processes, value-added tax, international tax structuring and planning, transactional tax advice, and litigation.
Competition
We advise clients on all contentious and non-contentious aspects of Polish and EU competition law, in particular, in merger control proceedings and anti-trust matters.
Intellectual Property
We have very broad experience in matters concerning the protection of trademarks, patents and industrial designs. A significant part of our practice involves providing advice on personal data processing, as well as internet and domain name issues.
Infrastructure
We advise public entities and private partners in connection with infrastructural projects as implemented by them. Due to the fact that advising during transactions of this type requires the joint knowledge of a number of specialists from different areas of law, the Infrastructure Group comprises of lawyers from different departments within our law firm, including experts in the fields of real estate, taxes, and finance projects.
