Our Warsaw office provides commercially minded advice to clients operating in Poland and in the wider markets of Central and Eastern Europe. The office consists of 60 multilingual lawyers, including six partners, who work closely with their Hogan Lovells counterparts around the world, wherever clients choose to do business.

We advise on the legal structures best suited to conducting business in Poland, and will assist you in setting up representative offices, branches, or subsidiaries in local markets, while providing regular, ongoing advice on all corporate issues, including M&A.

Interdisciplinary teams focus on specific industry sectors and participate regularly in industry conferences and exhibitions. We handle all legal aspects of major transactions, including:

Financial Institutions
We advise insurance companies, pension funds, and investments funds on regulatory compliance, transactions, documentation, and product introduction, and also represent funds before the Polish Financial Supervisory Authority.

Corporate
We provide tailor-made solutions for mergers and acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, share incentives, restructuring processes, and management buy-outs. We also support investors in the acquisition of equity, preparing due diligence reports and transaction documentation.

Intellectual Property, Media, and Technology
We advise on patents, trade marks, and designs, and have particular experience in the acquisition and exploitation of intellectual property rights, together with enforcement and anti-piracy policies.

Real Estate
We support all property and project-finance transactions, such as acquisitions, long-term leases, and construction, and represent clients in court and in arbitration.

Banking and Finance
We advise banks, financial institutions, developers, institutional clients, and real-estate funds on lending and debt transactions.

Tax
Areas covered include international tax law, investment processes, value-added tax, international tax structuring and planning, transactional tax advice, and litigation.
