Samson has extensive experience in equity capital markets transactions, having advised on a number of Hong Kong IPOs for underwriters, and issuers from a range of various jurisdictions and industries. He also regularly advises on share placements, public takeovers, mergers and acquisitions, as well as regulatory compliance matters for listed companies.
Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Samson was an associate at a leading U.S. firm.
Samson is recognised as a recommended lawyer in The Legal 500 Asia Pacific.

Advising Halcyon on the Hong Kong IPO of 1957 & Co., a Hong Kong-based restaurant group.
Advising Bank of Tianjin on its US$949m Hong Kong IPO, a city commercial bank in China.*
Advising VMS Securities on the US$11m placing of new shares of Classified Group, a Hong Kong-based restaurant Group.
Advising the purchasers in the mandatory general offer of Cinderella Media.*
Advising WH Group on its US$2.36bn Hong Kong IPO, the world's largest pork company* (Deal of the Year 2014, China Business Law Journal).
Advising HNA International on its US$16bn disposal of two plots of land in Kai Tak, Hong Kong to Henderson Land.
Advising CICC, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Citibank and other underwriters on the US$925m Hong Kong IPO of Red Star Macalline, China's largest home improvement and furnishings shopping mall operator.*
Advising Morgan Stanley, UBS, Goldman Sachs, Citibank and CMBI and other placing agents on the US$1.2bn top-up placement of Fosun International.*
Advising various Hong Kong-listed issuers in relation to their regulatory compliance matters. Clients include Classified Group, WH Group*, Tenwow*, Far East*, China Daye* and China Huarong Energy*.
