Hoi Yu is a senior associate in the Dispute Resolution group of our Hong Kong office and has particular interest in the implications of digital assets.

Hoi Yu has acted for both international and domestic clients in a wide range of multi-jurisdictional commercial litigations and arbitrations. Her experience spans across various subjects including cross-border insolvency and restructuring, shareholder disputes, breach of directors' duties and employment matters. In addition, she also has experience in advising financial institutions regarding regulatory compliance and investigations by regulators and enforcement agencies in Hong Kong.

Acting for the joint and several liquidators of China Metal Recycling (Holdings) Limited (In Compulsory Liquidation).

Acting for the joint and several liquidators of Peace Mark (Holdings) Limited (in Compulsory Liquidation).

Acting for a cryptocurrency exchange in defending a HKIAC arbitration commenced by one of its users relating to the liquidation of futures.

Acting for a trust corporation, in its capacity as trustee, in relation to US$200 million bonds issued by a Hong Kong listed company, which are in default.

Acting for an American bank in the recovery of monies through spoofing-type fraud.

Acting for a Chinese e-commerce company in defending an action for alleged breaches of contractual terms

Acting for a corporate trustee in commencing an action against a Hong Kong listed company for breaches and anticipatory breaches of an indenture pursuant to which US$197 million bonds were issued
