Shalini is a Partner in the Asset Finance practice based in London. Recently named by Legal Business as "one to watch" and well known by clients and peers alike for her commercial and solution driven approach, Shalini has extensive experience in a broad range of asset finance work and has been involved in a variety of complex cross-border aviation, shipping, plant and equipment transactions, as well as, general banking transactions.  

Shalini's experience includes loan and lease financings including capital markets financings, operating leases and charters, single asset and portfolio disposals and acquisitions; her clients include banks, lessors, airlines, shipping companies, funds and private equity firms. 

Shalini's practice also includes considerable experience in Africa and she is a member of the core Africa team at Hogan Lovells. Shalini also co-chairs the London offices women's network, "50:50".

Representative experience

Advising Helios Anchor Maritime, Ltd. on a ship financing to Starzs Investments Company Limited.

Advising an African bank in relation to the financing of four platform supply vessels for an African shipping company.

Advising a Brazillian oil major in relation to the sale and lease back of a number of driling platforms.

Advising Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (NAS) on the financing of fifteen new Boeing 737-800 aircraft through a number of private placements to US institutional investors.

Advising GE Capital Equipment Finance in relation to a number of matters relating to its corporate jet portfolio.
