Tony's practice focuses on general corporate and transactional matters. He provides advice in the areas of corporate finance, venture capital and private equity investments, mergers and acquisitions, fund formation and foreign direct investments.

His clients include PE/VC funds and general partners and limited partners, entrepreneurs, venture-backed growth stage and public companies.

Tony assists multinational companies operating in both the PRC and the U.S. in a broad range of industries. He has extensive experience in advising overseas investors in setting up operations in China in the forms of joint venture or wholly owned subsidiaries, acquiring local Chinese companies, and making investments in China-focused funds, and in consulting China clients in their business operations, expansions and investments in private and public companies in varies aspects in the United States. He also advises PRC clients, by coordinating with U.S. specialists, in the area of tax planning, trust setup, employment and litigation and mediation supports.

Advising a leading laser projector company in its Cayman-China inversion restructuring and becoming one of the first STAR Market listed companies.*

Advising the formation of a US$100 million Hong Kong joint venture among a Belgium public company, a Cayman VIE entity, and a Chinese SOE.*

Advising the formations of all Linear Capital funds, one of the most renowned early stage data intelligence and frontier technology VC investment funds in China, including the latest funds with a total commitment of US$500 million.

Advising multiple China-based clients in the formations of U.S. subsidiaries, especially from U.S. regulatory, corporate, and tax perspectives.*

Advising multiple China-based clients in making minority interests investments in U.S. companies.*

Advising We Doctor Group in raising hundreds of millions of dollars in a financing.*

Advising Leleketang in its Series A to Series C2 financings, raising multimillion dollars of funds from venture investors.

Advising on the sale of a China-focused Cayman company to Suning for US$420 million, and advised the founders in establishing their subsequent new startup ventures.*

Advising DFJDragon and Draper Dragon in the formation of their China and U.S.-focused venture capital funds and in their portfolio company investment transactions.*

Advising Wuxi Luoshe Printing and Dying in coordination with the litigators, in a complex breach of fiduciary duty and breach of contract case in California resulting in a verdict of US$72 million.*

Advising Linear Capital for over 50-portfolio company minority interest investments.

Advising numerous China-based startups and growth stage companies in their fundraising transactions.
