John is a partner in the London office. John acts for private equity houses, institutional investors and corporates across a broad range of international corporate and M&A transactions.

John advises clients across a number of sectors, including financial institutions, energy & infrastructure, mining and natural resources, technology and consumer. 

He previously spent four years working in Madrid and has an active practice advising on Spanish and Latin America-related transactions.

Apollo on its acquisitions of: Banco Santander’s real estate loan servicing and recovery arm, Altamira Asset Management; and a Spanish mortgage loans and REO book from GE Money. *

Apollo on its acquisition of Citibank España, S.A. and Citifin EFC, S.A.'s Spanish consumer loan book. *

Apollo on its acquisition of Bank of America’s Spanish and Irish consumer loan and credit card businesses. *

Cerberus on its c.€5bn acquisition of General Electric’s French banking and consumer finance business, GE Money Bank. *

Carlyle on its convertible loan to Esken Limited, owner of London Southend Airport. *

Caesars Entertainment on its £2.9bn recommended cash acquisition of William Hill PLC and its subsequent £2.2bn sale of William Hill’s non-US business to 888. *

BGH Capital on its disposal of Navitas’s international creative arts business, SAE International, to Ardian. *
