Emanuela Cocco

Counsel
Rome

Just after my graduation, I was quite determined to work in the field of administrative law, a topic on which most of my university studies had focused, in a dynamic and international environment. I first got in touch with Hogan Lovells nearly by accident, when I read in the newspaper of a job ad for a professional role which seemed to be perfectly tailored to my needs.

Nearly 11 years have gone by since then: after six months of stage, my career continued as a Trainee, an Associate and now a Senior Associate.

I live my current role as a Senior Associate with enthusiasm, commitment and dedication. I am directly involved in client management together with partners and counsels, and I coordinate and train younger lawyers and trainees.

My experience so far has involved assisting a number of international clients, both in court and out of court, in several areas of administrative law, focusing on public procurement contracts, environmental law and conventional and renewable energy sources. I have also gained significant experience in solving issues of public law as part of M&A and financial transactions, including those regarding the assignment of receivables by the Public Administration.

My job requires great efforts in terms of commitment and dedication, but these efforts are greatly rewarded by what Hogan Lovells has never failed to offer: a young, dynamic, challenging and enriching environment; several opportunities for growth and dialogue, a team of brilliant, ambitious and indefatigable professionals; strong team spirit, mutual respect and cooperation.
