The EU Referendum, in which the UK will vote whether to stay in the EU ('Bremain') or leave ('Brexit'), is now less than a month away. So…a big deal for the UK? Of course. However, it is also a big deal for every organisation, with UK or broader European interests. What's more, Brexit is also a real possibility with the UK polls suggesting the result is too close to call in the run up to the EU referendum on the 23 June.
Hogan Lovells will be hosting a panel discussion with representatives from across Europe to inform, discuss and debate the impact of the EU referendum. Susan Bright, Regional Managing Partner for UK and Africa at Hogan Lovells, will open the discussion before welcoming our panellists. Confirmed to date:
- Sir Simon Fraser, Former Head of the UK Foreign Office; Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Flint Global
- Alexander Graf Lambsdorff, Vice President of the European Parliament
- Ambassador Hugo Paemen, former EU Ambassador to the USA, Senior Advisor to Hogan Lovells
- Ryan Heath, Senior EU Correspondent at POLITICO (moderator).
No one knows exactly what lies ahead, but what is clear is that, whichever way the vote goes, there are challenges ahead. Clearly Brexit implications are significant and not fully understood, yet even a vote to stay in may create instability within the EU.
The more that international organisations are prepared, informed and engaged, the more they can look ahead with clarity and confidence. Join in the debate and understand what Brexit or Bremain might mean for your organisation.
