Tomoe assists her Japanese clients with protecting and structuring stronger intellectual property portfolios around the world. Tomoe focuses on multi-jurisdictional intellectual property enforcement and portfolio management. She also advises clients on intellectual property licensing and other intellectual property aspects of transactions. Tomoe has a broad range of industry experience ranging from foodstuff, electrical appliances, and automobiles manufacturers, to social media and heavy industry/energy companies.
Tomoe's day to day work includes enforcing clients' intellectual property rights and advising clients on anti-counterfeiting measures around the world, filing and prosecuting trademark applications, conducting trademark clearance searches, advising on trademark availability and eligibility for registration, conducting intellectual property portfolio audits and reviewing intellectual property licensing. Tomoe is a Solicitor and Barrister of the High Court of New Zealand and a Solicitor of Senior Courts of England and Wales.
