Thomas Petrie tackles sophisticated transactional matters with a passion for drafting and excellent attention to detail. With a focus on intellectual property transactions and corporate mergers and acquisitions, Thomas approaches complex contracts with legal and business goals in mind.

His background in journalism and business allows him to communicate complex legal terms in a clear and concise manner. Prior to joining the firm, Thomas drafted orders and memoranda as a judicial extern for both the Honorable Timothy M. Tymkovich of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and the Honorable John L. Kane of the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado.

Thomas's drive to produce exceptional legal work began in law school, where he graduated at the top of his class. Thomas also served as the President of the University of Colorado Law School's Business and Tax Law Association and edited intricate legal articles as a member of the University of Colorado Law Review.

Thomas embraces the firm's commitment to citizenship. In addition to his work at the firm, he represents children in domestic violence cases as a volunteer Guardian Ad Litem for the Rocky Mountain Children's Law Center.
