Nico Kuhlman actively pushes the digital transformation and advises leading technology companies in national and international disputes. He focuses on intellectual property law, in particular trademark, copyright and unfair competition law.
Nico Kuhlmann is also responsible for various Legal Tech projects for the firm. These include the Hamburg Legal Tech Meetup, the Hogan Lovells Legal Tech Competition and the Hogan Lovells Legal Tech Hackathon. Due to his multifaceted commitment, he received the internal Hogan Lovells award "Master of Innovation".
Nico Kuhlmann studied law and economics at the University of Bayreuth. His dissertation is part of the DFG Research Training Group on Intellectual Property and the Public Domain and took him to Washington, D.C. for a year to the John W. Kluge Center at the Library of Congress. During his legal traineeship he worked for Google, the German Federal Constitutional Court and Hogan Lovells in Silicon Valley.
