Michael Plagge advises on all aspects of intellectual property law, in particular patent law. His main focus is on patent litigation for international and domestic clients in the field of life sciences as well as other areas of technology. He is based in our Hamburg and Dusseldorf offices.
Michael studied law at the University of Freiburg, specializing in intellectual property law. After his First State Exam he wrote a PhD thesis on injunctions in patent law. During his PhD studies, he gained further valuable insights into intellectual property law while working as a research assistant in the IP practice group of a US law firm. After completing his PhD in 2022 and during his legal traineeship, Michael worked for two international law firms based in Frankfurt, where he handled IP-related contracts and IP aspects of corporate transactions.
