Michael represents and advises clients on a range of litigation and regulatory matters.
Michael’s experience includes representing business consultants, financial institutions, and other companies in complex commercial litigation and investigations, often involving government parties. Michael’s experience spans across numerous federal and state courts, and also includes mediation and arbitration of disputes. Michael also partners with clients to advise them on regulatory issues, as well as litigation risks in transactions.
In addition, Michael maintains a political law practice, advising corporations, not-for-profits, political communications and consulting firms, and individuals on campaign finance, ethics, and other political law matters. Michael also has extensive experience advising elected officials and candidates for public office at the federal, state, and local levels, on election laws, campaign finance, and ethics compliance. From city council and state legislature to U.S. Congress and President of the United States, Michael serves as a trusted advisor to political figures and their campaigns. Michael has experience in a wide variety of political matters, including getting candidates on the ballot, litigating petition challenges, advising on campaign finance restrictions and requirements, litigating ballot counting procedures, and conducting recounts. Once in office, public officials continue to look to Michael for their campaign finance and ethical obligations, reelection campaigns, and other legal advice.
Michael is a co-author of Goldfeder’s Modern Election Law, Sixth Edition (2022).
