As a former engineer, Joe Grdinovac understands both the technical and legal challenges his clients face. His knowledge of technology and equipment used in industries including oil and gas, automotive, electronics, and agriculture allows him to more efficiently counsel clients on IP procurement, management, enforcement matters, technology transfers, licensing agreements, and IP litigation.
Joe also helps clients obtain patent protection in the United States, Europe, and Asia. He is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Before he became a lawyer, Joe was a design engineer for an international oil and gas company, where he focused on downstream refining equipment, including hydrocarbon processing units, support systems, and various instrumentation systems. He received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at Kansas State University, and is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
As a student at the University of Houston Law Center, Joe served as senior articles editor for the Houston Journal of International Law.
