Guillermo Gonzalez has more than 20 years of experience in M&A, real estate, corporate governance, commercial, and corporate matters. He also has broad transactional-related labor experience.

His constructive negotiating and problem-solving approach benefits clients in commercial and industrial real estate sectors. His experience in cross-border and restructurings transactions includes specific knowledge in the maquiladora and automobile sectors.

He has led negotiations on restructurings, start-up operations, and acquisitions, including for family-owned businesses.

Guillermo joined Barrera, Siqueiros y Torres Landa (now Hogan Lovells BSTL) in 1995 and has been a partner since July 2009.

He is a member of the Mexican Bar Association and of the US-Mexico Bar Association, as well as a professor at the Facultad Libre de Derecho de Monterrey.

Leading counsel in Mexico for the acquisition of Radar Industries Inc., by Shiloh Industries Inc.

Co-counsel in Mexico representing Affinia Group in the sale to Mann + Hummel

Co-counsel in Mexico representing Pamplona Capital Management in the acquisition of BBB Industries LLC and later financing for the transaction.

Advising Allegion PLC in Mergers & Acquisitions transactions.

Representing trust vehicles (issuers of Certificate of Development Structured Equity Certificates) in the acquisition of real estate facilities.

Advised and led various negotiations on restructurings, start-up operations, and acquisitions including, among others, those for Affinia and Mann.

Advising a major industrial park developer in the negotiation for the creation of an Industrial Park in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
