Dr. Felix Banholzer
As a senior associate in our IPMT Group in Duesseldorf, Felix Banholzer focuses on all aspects of patent law and other technical intellectual property rights. He has experience in advising in national and multi-national patent litigation for many years, in particular in the field of telecommunications and mechanics. Besides German clients, Felix advises clients from other European countries, Asia and North America. He advises in patent litigation before German infringement courts and coordinates parallel litigation in pan-European disputes.
Furthermore, Felix conducts nullity actions at the German Federal Patent Court and on the Federal Supreme Court and advises general questions of patent law and the valuation of patent portfolios. Felix studied law in Muenster and Helsinki with a focus on international law. After graduating, he has been working as a research assistant at the University of Muenster's Institute for Information, Telecommunication and Media Law and received a Dr. iur. in Law with a thesis about international jurisdiction in media law. During his legal traineeship at the Duesseldorf Court of Appeals, Felix worked inter alia in an international law firm in Duesseldorf and in the German Consulate General in New York.
