Europe and its new Digital Single Market – What's in it for Asia-based companies?

Right now, we are seeing fundamental changes in Europe in the area of e-commerce. When the European Commission began its strategy for a Digital Single Market ("DSM") within the EU, one could anticipate the revolutionary scope of that project. Now, almost four years and multiple legislative initiatives later, we are seeing this digital market become a reality. Not less than forty regulations and directives have been enacted or are in the course of being enacted.

The new law touches upon literally every segment of online trade including platform structure, online terms and conditions, shipping of goods, broadcasting, copyright, tax, data privacy, content liability and many more aspects. Our European DSM Task Force has put together a case study as well as an overview of what Asian corporations need to be aware of when offering goods or services online in Europe. In this webinar we will look at the impacts of the Digital Single Market, including where both the obligations and opportunities for Asia-based companies lie.

We hope you can join us on 4 December for an insightful webinar.
