Food and Drug Law Institute Annual Conference

Hogan Lovells partners Martin Hahn and Lillian S. Hardy will serve on panels at the Food and Drug Law Institute’s Annual Conference on 6-8 October.

Martin will moderate a session on the Food and Drug Administration’s New Era of Smarter Food Safety Blueprint, discussing how it seeks to build on its efforts to implement the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and further increase the safety of the American food supply. Panelists will also cover the concerns, challenges, and potential consequences of implementing these changes, including the financial and practical feasibility.

Lillian’s session will discuss how food companies can manage recalls, conduct internal investigations, and maintain its brand reputation. Topics will include internal processes and procedures for handling a crisis, insurance coverage, and the importance of positive PR for brand rehabilitation and as a trial strategy.
