Leslie R. Byrd focuses her practice on representing for-profit and not-for-profit developers of market rate and affordable condo, coop and rental projects in connection with financing (including government programs), preparation of offering plans, and unit sales. She has over 25 years of private and public sector experience in leasing and development, including more than a decade of work with condominiums and cooperatives. In addition, she negotiates office, warehouse and ground leases for major retailers and financial institutions, purchase and sale agreements, management agreements and zoning lot development agreements.

Leslie was named a Fellow of the LCLD for 2023, participating in a landmark program to build diversity and promote inclusivity in the legal profession.

Catholic Charities in the structuring of a ground lease and planned leasehold condominium for its administrative offices at 80 Maiden Lane in New York, NY.

Pace University in the acquisition of leasehold condominium units for student housing at 126 Nassau Street in New York City pursuant to a long-term installment sales contract.

A prestigious university in the structuring of a ground lease and three planned leasehold condominiums for student and faculty housing, academic instruction and administrative offices in Manhattan.

The conversion of a multi-story property containing Class-A air cargo, logistics and warehouse space into two commercial condo units in Queens, NY, as well as the sale of the commercial condo units.*

Extell Development as sponsor of 92 market rate coop units and 29 affordable rental apartments at 70 Charlton Street in lower Manhattan.*

Strategic Hotels and Resorts in connection with condominium structure, governance and related issues for the JW Marriott Essex House Hotel in Manhattan

Rudin Management Co. in structuring a ground lease and two planned leasehold condominiums at Three Times Square to provide classrooms and administrative offices for Touro University. *
