Hogan Lovells boasts more “Top 100” corporate lawyers than any other law firm.

For the second consecutive year, Hogan Lovells M&A partners Rick Climan, Keith Flaum, and Jane Ross have each been named to the California Daily Journal's prestigious list of the Top 100 Lawyers in California. Hogan Lovells is the only law firm to have three corporate lawyers included on the Daily Journal list.

Throughout their careers, Climan, Flaum, and Ross, who have practiced together for over 20 years, have overseen prominent technology M&A deals across the United States and internationally. They are also known as thought leaders in the M&A field.

Climan, who brought the M&A group he leads to Hogan Lovells in 2017, has been included in the Top 100 list seven times in the past 10 years. In addition to representing high-profile clients and serving as Global Head of the Hogan Lovells Technology M&A Practice, the Daily Journal praises Climan as “a sought-after speaker and teacher for new and seasoned legal professionals worldwide,” noting the recent success and reach of the firm’s first-ever virtual M&A “Boot Camp” training program which Climan led during the period of Coronavirus-related restrictions. The 2020 M&A Boot Camp program attracted hundreds of junior lawyers, bankers, and corporate development professionals, as well as law school students from 40 law schools nationwide. Climan’s full bio can be found here.

Flaum, co-head of the M&A practice for the Americas, is recognized for his extensive M&A work, including his recent leadership of Rosetta Stone’s pending US$792 million sale to Cambium Learning Group. Flaum’s full bio can be found here.

Ross is recognized for leading Facebook’s US$5.7 billion investment in India-based Jio Platforms. This was the largest minority technology investment in history and Facebook’s largest ever investment in Asia. Ross’s full bio can be found here.

Last month, the Daily Journal also recognized the youngest partner on the Hogan Lovells Silicon Valley M&A team, Chris Moore, as one of the “Top 40” lawyers under the age of 40 in California. Chris’s full bio can be found here.

With more than 150,000 active lawyers in California to choose from, the Daily Journal’s recognition of all four partners in the firm’s Silicon Valley M&A group underscores the group’s prominence and unparalleled strength in one of the most competitive legal markets in the world.
